Job summary

Siemens, based in Bangalore, seeks an experienced Railway Signalling Design & Testing professional. You will work with interlocking Mk1/Mk2 systems, lead FAT/SAT on site, and collaborate with RDSO and Indian Railways to enhance product reliability and documentation.

The role emphasizes training, mentoring, and strong stakeholder management, with travel across India and abroad as required. A long track record in railway signaling is essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Railway Signalling Design & Testing.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical (EEE) or Electronics (ECE).
• Strong academic record (≥70%) with no active backlogs.
• Familiarity with ISO quality processes and standard workflows.
• IRSETLO / IRSE license is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers such as RDSO and Indian Railways for product-related activities.
• Maintain product documentation, configuration records, and release baselines.
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel within and outside India for customer meetings and project support.
• Lead FAT and SAT activities including installation, commissioning, and testing at site.
• Guide site teams in failure analysis and issue resolution.
• Prepare detailed technical failure reports with root cause analysis and preventive actions.

• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with railway signalling Systems, Products, principle, concept and Methods.
• Strong technical understanding with interlocking systems and interlocking principles.
• Ability to deliver technical training to internal teams as well as external customer personnel.
• Interface with customers such as RDSO and Indian Railways for product‑related activities.
• Maintain product documentation, configuration records, and release baselines.
• Expertise in Training, Mentoring and Coaching to both Internal and external Stakeholders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and customer‑facing skills.
• Travel within and out of India as required for customer meetings and project support.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Westinghouse/Westrace Interlocking Mk1 & Mk2, covering both hardware and software.
• Experience in FAT and SAT, including installation, commissioning, and testing of interlocking systems at site.
• Ability to troubleshoot site failures, especially during emergency and critical situations.
• Capability to guide site teams in failure analysis and issue resolution.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed technical failure reports, including observations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

Your Success Is Grounded In

• 15+ years in Railway Signalling Design & Testing
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical (EEE) or Electronics (ECE)
• Strong academic record (typically ≥70%) with no active backlogs
• Strong customer-facing skills to explain technical failures and participate in customer meetings effectively.
• Ability to maintain structured documentation and records, including failure count reports, open/closed issues, and FRPCPY tracking, in coordination with the team.
• Familiarity with ISO quality processes and adherence to standard quality workflows.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing improvements, and preventing repeat failures.
• Good coordination and follow‑up skills with internal teams to ensure timely task closure and complete technical analysis of work carried out.
• IRSETLO / IRSE license is an added advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
