The candidate should have 4+ years in security leadership roles and hands-on experience across SIEM/XDR/EDR, IAM/PAM, and vulnerability management, with strong MITRE ATT&CK knowledge and incident response expertise.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Define and own risk prioritization and exposure scoring beyond CVSS.
• Design correlation logic across telemetry from SIEM, XDR, IAM, PAM, WAF, EDR, and similar tools.
• Lead internal VAPT and security validation across web, mobile, API, network, cloud, and identity layers.
• Map technical risks to business impact and compliance controls; support audit-ready reporting.

Lead Security Engineer – Risk, Exposure & Security Intelligence

We are building an AI-driven cybersecurity platform focused on vulnerability intelligence, risk prioritization, and enterprise security posture visibility. We are looking for a senior security leader who combines deep hands-on expertise with a strong understanding of how CISOs evaluate risk, prioritize remediation, and manage security programs at scale. This role will lead the design of our risk intelligence engine while also heading the VAPT, validation, and security assurance initiatives that ensure our platform produces accurate, real-world, decision-grade outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Intelligence Leadership

• Define and own the risk prioritization and exposure scoring framework beyond CVSS.
• Design correlation logic across telemetry from SIEM, XDR, IAM, PAM, WAF, EDR, and similar vulnerability tools.
• Build mechanisms to reduce false positives and improve signal quality.
• Define attack-path and exploitability modeling strategies.

VAPT & Security Validation Leadership

• Lead internal VAPT and security validation efforts across web, mobile, API, network, cloud, and identity layers.
• Establish methodology to validate whether risks are practically exploitable.
• Define vulnerability lifecycle, remediation tracking, and closure verification workflows.
• Create reusable attack scenarios and test datasets for product intelligence.

Audit & Risk Alignment

• Map technical risks to business impact and compliance controls.
• Define control effectiveness and security posture metrics usable by CISOs and auditors.
• Support creation of defensible, audit-ready reporting.

Team & Project Leadership

• Lead and mentor VAPT engineers, security analysts, and compliance specialists.
• Drive cross-functional execution between security, product, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership during customer discussions, pilots, and architecture reviews.
• 4+ years in Security Engineering, Security Architecture, Detection Engineering, Red/Blue Team, or SOC leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience across multiple domains such as SIEM/XDR/EDR, IAM/PAM, Vulnerability Management/VAPT, Network or Cloud Security.
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, incident response, and enterprise threat landscapes.
• Experience working with enterprise security telemetry, APIs, and multi-tool environments.
• Proven ability to distinguish real threats from noise and prioritize effectively.

Preferred (High Impact)

• Exposure to CISO office, risk reviews, or security governance programs.
• Experience leading VAPT or security assessment teams.
• Background in exposure management, threat intelligence, or security analytics platforms.
