Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for Zero Trust services, including Zscaler ZIA/ZPA/ZDX and infrastructure support. You will drive security architectures, automation, and project collaboration across teams in a demanding environment.

The role requires 6+ years of related experience, a strong background in ZTNA and IAM, and hands-on expertise in network security and SSL interception.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cyber security, or related field.
• Deep experience in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), preferring Zscaler solutions.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing Zero Trust Security Models.
• Familiarity with IAM, RBAC and MFA systems.
• Experience with Network Security.
• Migration from Legacy Proxy/Firewall to Zscaler Zero Trust is a plus.
• Micro segmentation experience is a plus.
• Extensive Layer 1-7 knowledge; scripting ability.
• PAC file experience required.
• SSL Interception with internal environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership at enterprise level defining processes and standards for Proxy, VPN, DLP, and Network Infrastructure.
• Lead analysis of anomalous network and system activity related to Zero Trust projects.
• Prepare procedures, standards and schematics for Zero Trust solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to craft well-architected infrastructure solutions.
• Act as escalation point for issue resolution in the environment.
• Utilize Zscaler ZIA, ZPA and ZDX for security operations and optimization.
• Assist Production Services in outages and proactive problem prevention.
• Monitor configurations and software updates; train others as needed.
• Lead multi-functional meetings and coordinate with users and management.
• Assist with compliance requirements.

Job description

• As a Lead Platform Engineer (Zero Trust SASE Services), you will provide technical leadership at the enterprise level in defining processes, technical infrastructure support, and adhere to architectural standards for the Proxy, VPN, DLP, Network Infrastructure and other systems.
• The Lead Platform Engineer works with various teams to support projects, enhance security, enable automation, and operate existing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity as it relates to Network Security, Zero Trust and Micro segmentation related Projects.
• Prepare technical procedures, standards & network schematics for all Zero Trust solutions.
• Connect with internal collaborators to craft and operate well architected infrastructure solution.
• Coordinate requirements with users and management.
• Work as an escalation point to resolve issues in the environment.
• Top Tier-2 Troubleshooting skills with Zscaler Products ZIA, ZPA and ZDX.
• Assist the Production Services team to restore service during system outages, provide troubleshooting support to team members, perform proactive problem prevention, and taking technical lead and work with vendor support.
• Assist in monitoring, configuration changes, and software updates.
• Assists with training other employees on a periodic basis.
• Participate in and lead multi-functional meetings with other teams in the organization.
• Assist with compliance requirement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Deep experience in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), with a strong preference for implementing Zscaler solutions.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing Zero Trust Security Models.
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication systems (MFA)
• Experience with Network Security
• Migration experience from Legacy Proxy/Firewall Infrastructure to Zscaler Zero Trust solution would be a plus.
• Implementation experience with any Micro segmentation related initiatives would be a plus.
• Extensive Layer 1-7 knowledge
• The ability to use scripting languages.
• PAC file experience is required.
• Execute SSL Interception with an integrated internal environment.
• Assist in monitoring, configuration changes, and software updates.
• Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
• Experience with the management of public SSL certificates.
