Job summary

Adani in Singrauli (MP) seeks an experienced engineer for System Monitoring and Operations. BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in thermal power plant operations is required.

You will monitor Boiler/Turbine/Generator and BOP, execute start-up/shut-downs, manage emergencies, and enforce safety, PTW and SOPs. You’ll also drive energy conservation, FGD operations, logbook maintenance, and digitization initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in power plant operations with a focus on thermal power plants.
• Experience in the power generation industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Boiler, Turbine, Generator, BOP, and Electrical Systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute start-up and shut-down operations of the plant systems, as required.
• Maintain close observation of plant parameters and respond promptly to any deviations.
• Perform routine changeover of equipment and trial of emergency drives.
• Handle plant emergencies related to BTG and coordinate responses.
• Manage emergencies related to switchyards and grid problems to minimize impact on operations.
• Ensure safe isolation and normalization of equipment in response to operational needs or emergencies.
• Perform FGD operations and monitor FGD system parameters.
• Maintain all plant parameter logbooks accurately and up-to-date.
• Promote energy conservation in all activities, focusing on SOC, APC, DM Water usage, and Heat Rate.
• Monitor critical chemistry parameters to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency.
• Implement and oversee FGD operations to reduce emissions and comply with environmental regulations.
• Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines within the department.
• Maintain safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
• Adhere to Permit to Work (PTW) systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Notify and report defects, problems in the plant to the shift in charge in a timely manner.
• Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.
• Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Monitor critical chemistry parameters to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency.

Implement and oversee FGD operations to reduce emissions and comply with environmental regulations.

Business Sustainability:

Ensure adherence to IMS, AWMS, DISHA, CHETNA guidelines within the department.

Maintain safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

BE/B.tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.

Work Experience (Range of years):

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in power plant operations with a focus on thermal power plants

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the power generation industry, specifically with thermal power plants, is highly preferred.
