Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration specialist to lead complex data migration efforts using BODS and LSMW. You will work across FI/MM/QM/PP/SD/PM/PS/IM/EWM domains, design Data Services jobs, validate data, and ensure successful post-load reconciliation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with IDOCS, BAPIs, BDCs, LTMC, and a strong SQL background. Strong communication and independent problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong SAP Data migration experience with BODS or LSMW.
• Experience with IDOCS, BAPIs, BDCs and LTMC.
• Experience in at least 3 end-to-end data migration projects using BODS or LSMW.
• BODS: expert in designing & building Data Services jobs, data validation, debugging, performance tuning, code review, code promotion and job scheduling.
• LSMW: extensive experience using all 4 upload methods.
• Understanding migration objects across FI/MM/QM/PP/SD/PM/PS/IM/EWM.
• Good grasp of data dependencies between migration objects.
• Good SQL debugging skills.
• Basic SAP ABAP for conversion checks in transformation.
• Ability to generate reconciliation reports for post-load validation.
• Data Quality module experience in Data Services.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Strong SAP data migration work using BODS/LSMW and related tools.
• Handle IDsoc, BAPI, BDC, and LTMC in migrations.
• Coordinate end-to-end migration projects across modules FI/MM/QM/PP/SD/PM/PS/IM/EWM.
• Design and optimize Data Services jobs and validation steps.
• Use LSMW methods for data uploads.
• Analyze data requirements and map to ETL logic.
• Ensure data dependencies are managed across objects.
• Perform SQL debugging and error resolution.
• Create reconciliation reports post-load validation.
• Leverage Data Quality features in Data Services.
• Communicate findings and propose practical solutions.

Job description

Role Description

• Strong SAP Data migration with hands on experience with data migration using BODS or Upload activities with LSMW.
• Good experience in using IDOCS, BAPIs, BDCs and LTMC
• Experience with at least 3 end to end data migration projects using BODS or LSMW.
• *BODS*: Expert in designing & building Data Services jobs, data validation, debugging, performance tuning, code review, code promotion and job scheduling.
• *LSMW*: Extensive experience in using LSMW with all 4 methods of upload option.
• Involved in field mapping requirement gathering and able to understand functional rules and translate them into proper logic/rules in ETL tools.
• Domain expertise or Functional understanding of migration objects from core SAP Module -FI/MM/QM/PP/SD/PM/PS/IM/EWM
• Having experience in migration project planning with good understanding of data dependency between the migration objects.
• Good experience in SQL in debugging the Queries
• Basic understanding SAP ABAP for handing conversion checks in the transformation.
• Good experience in generating the reconciliation report for post load validation.
• Experience in Data Quality module of Data Services.
• Should be able to work independently and analyse problems and provide solutions.
• Highly productive, independent, creative, focused, and should have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline required
• Shift: German Time Zone preferred (1:30PM to 10:30PM IST)
