Job summary

UST is seeking a Mid Level Data Scientist in India (Kolkata) to design and implement AI/ML analytics solutions. You will perform data wrangling, feature engineering and model development using Python/SQL, with exposure to ML libraries and deep learning techniques.

The role requires collaboration with business SMEs and UX teams, plus familiarity with cloud services and DevOps practices. Prior experience with LLM/Gen AI and PySpark is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and solution workflow design for AI/ML/Analytics projects.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL programming.
• Strong knowledge of ML libraries and applications (time series, neural nets, SVMs, boosting).
• Experience in deep learning techniques.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with business SMEs and UX teams.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, build management and versioning.
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, GCP or AWS).
• Experience in LLM/Gen AI — prompt engineering, RAG and parameter tuning.
• Pyspark experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
