Job summary

Sapiens is seeking a Lead Gen AI (Fullstack) Developer to join our growing engineering team in Bengaluru. You will design and deliver intelligent agent architectures, agentic workflows, chatbots, and AI-driven product capabilities across domains.

Our stack combines Python for agentic workloads with Node.js/TypeScript microservices and React on the frontend. You will work on a greenfield platform with high ownership, shipping AI features end-to-end with real product impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1+ year of substantial hands-on experience building with LLMs — prompt engineering, output parsing, context management, tool-use/function-calling, and reliability handling.
• Production experience with Python for AI workloads.
• Experience building agentic architectures — multi-step LLM workflows, reasoning loops and tool orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered features across the full stack, including agentic workflows, intelligent chatbots, and LLM-driven capabilities.
• Architect and implement multi-step LLM workflows, reasoning loops, and tool orchestration systems that are reliable and production-ready.
• Develop and maintain Python-based agentic workloads integrated with Node.js/TypeScript microservices and React frontend components.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape platform architecture, technical strategy, and delivery roadmaps.
• Ensure quality, performance, and reliability of AI systems through robust prompt engineering, output parsing, context management, and function-calling patterns.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and standards across the AI platform.

Role Summary

Sapiens is seeking a Lead Gen AI (Fullstack) Developer to join our growing engineering team focused on building a next-generation Generative AI platform. This is a high-ownership, hands-on engineering role where you will design and deliver intelligent agent architectures, agentic workflows, chatbots, and AI-driven product capabilities across domains. Our stack combines Python for agentic workloads with Node.js/TypeScript microservices and React on the frontend. You will work on a greenfield platform within a small, high-ownership engineering team, building production AI features end-to-end with direct impact on product direction. This is a building role. If you have spent the last year working with LLMs and want to go deeper — designing multi-step agentic systems, solving reliability and evaluation problems, and shipping AI products that work in the real world — this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end AI-powered features across the full stack, including agentic workflows, intelligent chatbots, and LLM-driven capabilities.
• Architect and implement multi-step LLM workflows, reasoning loops, and tool orchestration systems that are reliable and production-ready.
• Develop and maintain Python-based agentic workloads integrated with Node.js/TypeScript microservices and React frontend components.

• Ensure quality, performance, and reliability of AI systems through robust prompt engineering, output parsing, context management, and function-calling patterns.

• Operate with a self-directed working style — comfortable with ambiguity, making sound technical decisions independently, and shipping with speed and quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration to drive delivery excellence.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 1+ year of substantial hands-on experience building with LLMs — prompt engineering, output parsing, context management, tool-use/function-calling, and reliability handling.
• Production experience with Python for AI workloads.
• Experience building agentic architectures — multi-step LLM workflows, reasoning loops and tool orchestration.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend skills.
• AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow.
• A self-directed working style — comfortable with ambiguity, able to make decisions, and ship effectively.

Even better if you have:

• Experience with LangChain/LangGraph or similar agentic frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases, embeddings, and RAG in real production applications.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems to measure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and emerging agent standards.
