Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer with deep experience building HIPAA‑compliant healthcare applications. You will own the core backend infrastructure and the internal clinical dashboard, ensuring seamless management of longitudinal clinical workflows, care‑plan routing, and automated triage queues.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and scale our backend using Medplum (FHIR‑native TS framework) deployed on secure AWS infrastructure.
• Enforce strict security, identity management, and comprehensive audit logging within the BAA‑covered PHI data store.
• Develop and maintain the Navigator Dashboard, a high‑performance React Single Page Application (SPA) utilized by clinical care navigators for triage, EPDS scoring, and marketplace referral routing.
• Collaborate with AI and integration engineers to expose robust endpoints for automated workflows.

Requirements

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Languages & Frameworks: Expert‑level TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Healthcare Domain: Deep understanding of FHIR resources (R4), HIPAA compliance standards, and managing PHI in cloud environments.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient with AWS services, secure IAM configurations, and cloud deployment pipelines.
• Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to digital health or health‑tech platforms.
