Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a seasoned engineering lead for Apps Dev Tech Lead Analyst (C13) with hands-on expertise in Enterprise Workflow apps, frontend frameworks (Angular preferred), and Java microservices.

You will guide architecture and delivery across global teams, leveraging AI tools and BPM experience to enhance onboarding and deal express capabilities. The role emphasizes micro-frontend, Docker/Kubernetes, and MO/MQ messaging, with strong execution and the ability to adapt quickly to changing

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in architecting and developing Enterprise Workflow apps.
• 5+ years in solution architecture for onboarding and implementation systems.
• Experience using AI Dev Tools to deliver solutions independently.
• Deep expertise in document management using LLM.
• Proven hands-on in micro-frontend architectures with Webpack Module Federation.
• Deep expertise in Angular; React or Vue.js also valuable.
• Strong Java stack experience (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data, REST, JMS).
• Experience with Message Oriented Middleware (Kafka, Apache MQ over SSL).
• REST, JSON, SOAP, JAXB/JAX-WS; XML/JSON/Protobuf and schemas.
• Docker and Kubernetes expertise; microservices design.
• Strong execution, prioritization, and global-team leadership capability.
• Willingness to learn, teach others, and drive collaboration.
• Experience with BPM tools (IBM BAW or OSS tools) is a plus.

Job description

Services Onboarding & Deal Express Technology team is looking for a seasoned hands-on engineering lead at Apps Dev Tech Lead Analyst - C13 level.

We are looking for an avid technologist who -

• Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of development methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information.
• Deals with most problems proactively and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid grasp of industry standards and practices.
• Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact.
• Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner.
• With developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex information.
• Can have moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Here is what you bring -

• You have 9+ years of experience in Architecting and developing Enterprise Workflow applications out of which 5 yrs. in solution architecture designing onboarding and Implementation systems.
• You have deep experience in utilizing AI Dev Tools to deliver solution/feature independently.
• You have deep expertise in Document management utilizing LLM
• Proven, hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying complex Micro-Frontend architectures from the ground up, with deep knowledge of Webpack Module Federation.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern frontend framework, preferably Angular. Experience with REACT or Vue.js is also valuable.
• You have proven hands-on experience designing and developing loosely coupled micro-services in the Java (10+) technology stack including spring, spring-boot, spring-data, JPA, REST-ful architecture, maven/Gradle, web sockets and open-source technologies.
• You must have experience in designing and developing solutions using Message Oriented Middleware architecture and products such as Kafka, Apache MQ over SSL
• You have working experience with Web service technologies such as REST, JSON, SOAP, JAXB, JAX-WS.
• You have extensive experience working with Dockers and Kubernetes
• You have working experience in message formats such as XML / JSON / Protobuf and schema (descriptor languages) backing the same.
• You possess advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes, especially in prioritization.
• Experience in leading highly skilled diverse technical teams in global setup is a plus
• You are an avid learner with an ability to learn and adapt so that you can help teach others and encourage idea exchange and information percolation.
• Experience working with BPM tools such as IBM BAW, top Open-Source workflow tools will be an added advantage

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
