Job summary

AMINA Bank AG is seeking a hands-on Lead Front-End Engineer to take technical ownership of Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Onboarding and the corporate website. You will own the front-end architecture and roadmap, guide a growing engineering team, and stay connected to code through reviews and development.

The role combines technical leadership with active engineering, collaborating with Product, UX, architecture and security teams to deliver reliable digital experiences.

Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)

We are looking for a hands‑onLead Front-End Engineer to take technical ownership of the Bank’s client-facing applications, including Online and Mobile Banking, Onboarding and our corporate website, while leading our front‑end engineering teams.
You will own the front‑end architecture and technology roadmap, actively shape solutions with Product, UX and architecture and backend engineering teams, and remain close to the code through design, code reviews, troubleshooting and development where required. This role combines deep technical leadership with team responsibility and is intended for someone who wants to remain an active engineer.

Your AMINA To-Do List

• Act as the technical owner for Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Digital Onboarding and the corporate website.
• Own and evolve the front‑end architecture, technology roadmap and engineering standards across web and mobile applications.
• Lead, coach, develop and support the front‑end engineering team, including capacity and resource allocation across the different product domains.
• Drive pragmatic technical decisions balancing client experience, delivery needs, security, scalability and long‑term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, architects, back‑end engineers, and security specialists to deliver reliable digital experiences.
• Remain hands‑on, participating in solution design, architecture and code reviews, prototyping, troubleshooting and development when required.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for front‑end engineering, driving quality, consistency and continuous improvement across the domain.

• Extensive front‑end engineering experience, including experience as a Lead, Principal, Architect or similar technical leadership role.
• Proven experience designing and owning scalable architectures for complex web and mobile applications.
• Experience leading engineers while remaining actively involved in technology and software development.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, WebSockets, automated testing, CI/CD, performance, accessibility and secure development practices, including OWASP guidance.
• Strong understanding of modern front‑end engineering practices, reusable components and mobile/web application architecture.
• Strong communication and technical decision‑making skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product, UX and engineering stakeholders.
• Experience in banking, financial services, FinTech or another regulated environment is an advantage. Crypto experience is a significant plus
