Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Lead Expert, Digital Quality Management to lead digital quality initiatives across QC systems (LIMS QMS) and drive business value in Barcelona or Hyderabad. You will partner with Product Manager and stakeholders to design strategic solutions for GxP-compliant environments.

You bring 8+ years of experience with LIMS/QMS, SAP integrations, and agile delivery, plus strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering digital solutions in QC systems (LIMS, QMS).
• Experience implementing LIMS and QMS like Arena, Labware, or Trackwise Digital.
• Strong knowledge of QC processes, sample management workflows and compliance.
• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4Hana integrations and system migrations.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into functional specs and define the digital backlog and quality roadmap.
• Define test cases, manage UAT, ensure usability, reliability, and performance of systems.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, data privacy, and security standards.
• Configure and maintain QMS/LIMS and support troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business processes and reduce technical debt.
• Create and maintain documentation and provide user training.
• Communicate progress and align expectations across the organization.

At dsm-firmenich, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Lead Expert, Digital Quality Management to join our team. As a Lead Expert, Digital Quality Management, you’ll be at the heart of delivering transformative digital solutions that elevate Quality Management across the organization and drive real business impact. In this pivotal role, you will partner with Product Manager, other functional experts and business stakeholders to co‑create the strategic solutioning and innovation of digital Quality Management products—ensuring every initiative aligns with and accelerates business strategic outcomes. Your functional Knowledge Management knowledge, coupled with experience in digital QA/QC and LIMS systems, will enable data‑driven decision‑making, high‑quality and streamlined operations, as well as compliant (GxP) digital environments.

Your key responsibilities

• Value Delivery & Outcome Alignment: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze user requirements and translate them to functional specifications and technical business impact. Execute on digital quality backlog of enhancements as well as on the Quality Roadmap ensuring that digital quality products (e.g., QMS, LIMS etc.) deliver measurable value and are tightly aligned with long‑term business goals and digital transformation priorities.
• Quality Assurance & Testing: Define and execute test cases, manage user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure system usability, reliability, and performance.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure digital solutions adhere to GxP, data privacy, and security standards.
• System Administration & Support: Configure and maintain quality‑focused business applications (e.g., QMS, LIMS etc.) and provide support for troubleshooting.
• Process Improvement: Proactively collaborate with the business stakeholders to analyze and optimize business processes, promoting architectural consistency and reducing technical debt.
• Documentation & Training: Create, update, and maintain detailed documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, and system design specifications.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Act as the central point of contact for product‑related communication, managing expectations and fostering transparency across all levels of the organization.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement to keep the product relevant and competitive.

You bring

• 8+ years of working experience in delivering digital solutions within Quality Control (QC) systems and tools such as LIMS and QMS.
• Successful implementation of comprehensive Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) e.g. Sample Manager, Labware; and Quality Management Systems (QMS) e.g. Arena, Veeva, Trackwise Digital etc.
• Strong functional knowledge of and experience in Laboratory and Quality Management systems and business processes (sample management lifecycle, workflow automation & testing, batch mgmt., inspections, auditing, suppliers’ qualifications, CAPA/Non‑Conformance etc.) and their optimization.
• Skills and experience in digital solutioning for Quality Management and specifications, configurations and data migrations (including SAP ECC and S/4Hana).
• Good understanding of integrations with other systems and tools (e.g. CDS, various SAP modules etc.) as well as dependencies on processes (e.g. Procurement, SHE and Compliance). Experience in working in Agile environments.
