Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Lead Expeditor to direct all expediting activities for large-scale EPC projects. Based in our India office, this strategic role is crucial for ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of critical materials and equipment. The position blends hands‑on expediting with project team leadership, acting as the central point of contact for all expediting matters on assigned Projects.

A key function of this role is to serve as the primary liaison with our US‑based counterparts, providing clear and consistent updates to ensure seamless project execution. You will be responsible for driving the project schedule, mitigating risks, and leading a team of project expeditors on assigned project to success.

Job Description
  1. Manages a project team of expeditors and provides leadership, guidance and development.
  2. Provide oversight, monitor compliance, quality, assign projects and tasks to the project expeditor.
  3. Manage communication between the client, project team, suppliers, US Counterpart to ensure timely completion of projects.
  4. Anticipate, lead, facilitate, and solve project complex expediting problems.
  5. Field Expediting - Domestic/International supplier for critical packages.
  6. Promote and ensure ethical procurement practices in accordance with code of business conduct requirements and procurement procedures are adhered to on projects.
  7. Lead project procurement expediting processes and multitasking without sacrificing project safety, quality, price or schedule.
  8. Manage review of expediting progress from award to receipt of packages at site assigned to Project Expeditor.
  9. Identify and elevate potential fabrication issues or shipment delays and direct a resolution or recovery plan.
  10. Consult with the supplier and the jobsite to coordinate deliveries and identify, report and resolve discrepancies.
  11. Step-in and support project expeditor on calls with the supplier to resolve issues or to address concerns.
  12. Present project status reports to all stakeholders including end client.
  13. Step-in for Logistic coordination involving international heavy lift shipments.
Experience

1.Carrier progression should reflect hands‑on expereince expediting wide range of equipment and materials ,including

a) Rotating equipment (like Compressors, Turbines, Pumps,etc),

b) Static Equipment ( Pressure Vessels, Columns,Reactors, Heat Exchanger,etc),

c) Mech Packages (like System packages, Modules,etc),

d) Piping ,Structural ,Electrical (HV/LVTransformers, Circuit Breakers, Lattice Towers, Capacitor Banks, Conductors,etc) & Instrumentation Items

  1. A minimum of 15 years of progressive expediting experience within an EPC environment is mandatory.
  2. Must have 2‑3 years of recent experience in a Lead Expeditor role, successfully managing a team of at least 2‑3 expeditors.
  3. Proven ability to develop and understand a project's expediting strategy, execution plan, and budget.
  4. Experience working in a pressure vessel fabrication company will be considered a significant advantage.
  5. Strong hold on Change management to take up with the client.
  6. Experience handling logistics for heavy‑lift equipment on international shipments.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Strong communication skills.
  3. Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
  4. Strong attention to detail.
  5. Exceptional written and spoken English is required, as all communication will be with US, UK, and European suppliers and stakeholders.
  6. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  7. Meticulous attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  8. Advanced computer literacy
