Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Lead Equity Research Analyst Midcap to anchor coverage on Indian midcap companies for the institutional desk. Location: Mumbai. Compensation is Open (Best in Industry).

The ideal candidate will lead coverage of midcap stocks, build robust financial models, publish initiation notes and sector pieces, and generate alpha ideas for institutional clients while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with Sales & Trading teams.

Qualifications

• 6-12 years of relevant experience in Equity Research (Sell Side preferred) covering Indian markets.
• Strong stock-picking track record for midcap stocks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead coverage of midcap stocks across assigned sectors within Indian markets.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and earnings forecasts.
• Publish high-quality research reports including initiation notes, result updates, thematic reports, and sector pieces.
• Generate differentiated, alpha-generating investment ideas for institutional clients.
• Actively engage with domestic and foreign institutional investors through calls, meetings, and conference.
• Conduct channel checks, management interactions, and industry analysis to develop strong conviction.
• Coordinate with Sales & Trading teams to drive institutional engagement and idea dissemination.
• Mentor junior analysts/associates and oversee research quality standards.
• Track sector trends, regulatory developments, and macro factors impacting midcap companies.

Candidate Profile

• 612 years of relevant experience in Equity Research (Sell Side preferred) covering Indian markets
• Proven experience covering midcap stocks with strong stock-picking track record
• Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise (DCF, relative valuation, scenario analysis)
• Established institutional client relationships preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred
• High ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work under tight timelines
