Overview

We're seeking a Techie with strong hands-on experience in Node.js and modern backend architectures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance systems, integrating message queues, and managing SQL and NOSQL. You should be able to optimize performance and lead backend development while mentoring others. You should be comfortable working independently as well as mentoring a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and development, and deployment of scalable applications.
• Integrate and manage message queue systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Design and optimize database schemas for MySQL and MongoDB.
• Ensure backend reliability, performance, and security at scale.
• Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams for seamless integration.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
• Review code, guide developers, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend Developer / Tech Lead.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js (or similar frameworks), and RESTful API design.
• Proven experience with queueing systems: RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
• Deep understanding of MySQL and MongoDB, including indexing, optimization, and replication.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and version control workflows.
• Experience working with microservices or modular architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of backend systems.

Good to Have / Plus Points

• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2 Lambda, S3 CloudWatch, etc.).
