Job summary

Siemens Bengaluru is seeking a senior software designer/developer to join Digital Health. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, implement features, and ensure quality through tests and reviews. You’ll work across multi-site teams, drive technical debt topics, and explore new technologies while delivering prototypes as needed.

The role requires strong C# and OOP, familiarity with WPF/WCF, multithreading, and testing frameworks. Knowledge of DICOM and medical workflows is a plus.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/ME/M.Tech with strong software fundamentals.
• 7–11 years in design and development (PL8).
• Strong C# or any OOPS programming skills and architecture understanding.
• Experience with inter-process communication, multi-threading and testing.
• Exposure to Agile processes and working with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis and design of software solutions based on native syngo mainline guidelines.
• Implement features, fix bugs and deliver with coding and quality standards.
• Develop unit/integration tests to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to design/test documentation.
• Ensure integration and submission into the software configuration system on schedule.
• Contribute to product risk analysis and drive technical debt topics.
• Act as technical driver and independently troubleshoot complex problems.
• Learn new technologies and create quick proofs of concepts.

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis and design of software solutions based on requirements and architectural /design guidelines of native syngo mainline
• Implementation of features and/or bug-fixing and delivering solutions adhering to coding and quality guidelines
• Identification and implementation of (unit/integration) tests to ensure solution addresses customer requirements and does not cause impact to installed base
• Performing code review, providing documentation (requirement/design/test specification) inputs, and ensuring delivery conforms to organization and project quality processes
• Ensuring integration and submission of solution into software configuration management system, within committed delivery timelines
• Active contribution in the risk analysis of the product
• Must be a technical driver of the team
• Must be able to independently trouble shoot and solve complex problems
• Must be able to learn & try out new technologies
• Must be able to do quick Proof Of Concepts/Prototypes
• Must be able to identify and drive technical debt topics

Knowledge and Experience

• Strong C# or any OOPS programming skills, Design principles & patterns and a good understanding of the overall Architecture
• Inter-process communication, multi-threading, data-structures, Unit-testing frameworks, Agile processes, WPF/WCF
• Ability to work as an individual contributor
• Flair to learn new technologies and thrive in an agile environment
• Conversant with typical software development processes / methodologies and exposure in working with multi-site global teams.
• Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skill
• Knowledge in Static code Analysis and Unit, integration and system testing. Exposure to TFS, Git, FxCop, SONAR and NUnit is preferred.
• Strong in Communication skills and AssertivenessDesirable: Medical domain knowledge (DICOM, medical workflows etc.)
• Desirable : Exposure to performance analysis, memory leak and stability analysis tools (ETW, WinDBG, etc)
• Familiarity with Angular, React, Containerization is an added plus
