Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Lead Electrical Design for Data Centre projects in Gujarat. You will lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for data centers and mission critical infrastructure, coordinating HT/LT, UPS, DG, and power distribution.

You will prepare design concepts, drawings, specifications, and reports; conduct load calculations and studies; ensure compliance with standards; collaborate with architecture, structural, HVAC, ICT, fire protection, and utility teams;

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design.
• Experience in electrical systems for data centers or mission critical facilities preferred.
• Proven ability to lead design concepts, calculations and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Infrastructure projects.
• Prepare electrical design concepts, detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design reports.
• Design and coordinate HT and LT electrical systems, UPS, DG, power distribution, grounding and protection.
• Conduct electrical load calculations, fault level analysis, and power system studies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, ICT, fire protection and utility teams for integrated delivery.
• Review vendor submissions, technical datasheets, equipment specs, and layouts.
• Support tender preparation, bid evaluation, procurement, testing, commissioning and site implementation.

We are seeking applications for the position of Lead Electrical Design for Data Centre project in Gujarat.

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead the design and engineering of electrical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Infrastructure projects.
• Prepare electrical design concepts, detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design reports.
• Design and coordinate:
  • HT (High Tension) Electrical Systems
  • LT (Low Tension) Electrical Systems
  • UPS Systems
  • DG (Diesel Generator) Systems
  • Power Distribution Systems
  • Earthing & Lightning Protection Systems
  • Electrical Utility Infrastructure
  • Critical Power Systems and Redundancy Solutions
• Conduct electrical load calculations, system sizing, fault level analysis, and power system studies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, ICT, fire protection, and utility teams for integrated project delivery.
• Review vendor submissions, technical datasheets, equipment specifications, and electrical layouts.
• Support tender preparation, bid evaluation, procurement, testing, commissioning, and site implementation activities.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Monitor project quality, schedule compliance, and adherence to technical requirements.

Profile/Skills

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering; OR
• M.E./M. Tech. in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design.
• Proven experience in the design of electrical systems for one or more of the following:
  • Data Centers
  • Mission Critical Infrastructure
  • Industrial Buildings
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing Facilities
  • Electronics Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) Facilities
• Experience in designing HT/LT systems, UPS systems, DG power backup systems, and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination and engineering design management.
