Job summary

Oriserve in India seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to build scalable systems and improve customer experience. You will deploy updates, monitor production, and implement integrations across cloud environments using Linux, AWS, and shell scripting.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of hands-on work with AWS, Linux, Jenkins, and automation tools; knowledge of MongoDB/MySQL, Azure/GCP, Prometheus, Grafana, and Ansible is a plus. You should own tasks, solve problems, and collaborate effectively.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of working experience on AWS, Linux, Jenkins, shell scripting.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL, Azure, GCP, ELK, NodeJS, a configuration management tool, or monitoring tool.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible etc.
• Should be able to take ownership of tasks and be responsible.
• Problem‑solving attitude with a collaborative team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure on cloud.
• Understand stakeholder needs and convey them to developers.
• Work on automating and improving development and release processes.
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.
• Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Monitor and resolve critical system/host-level alarms and alerts.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
• Work with software developers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Deploy updates and fixes.
• Provide Level 1 technical support with 24x7 availability.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Develop scripts to automate visualization.
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

You will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Shell scripting, Linux administration and working on cloud environments, we would love to speak with you.
