Job summary

MSC Technology (India) Pvt Ltd is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for Ambattur, Chennai to lead advanced analytics initiatives. The role requires deep hands-on ML experience and strong SQL skills, with familiarity in Microsoft Fabric and data modelling.

Office-based position in Chennai with collaboration across product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has 5–13 years in ML, data modelling, and data quality analysis, and holds an engineering or IT degree.

Qualifications

• 5 to 13 years of hands-on experience in ML, Python, data modelling and MS-SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of statistics, ML fundamentals, similarity matching, classification, clustering, and model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience in customer data modelling, identity resolution, deduplication, segmentation, and data quality analysis.
• Proficient in Python for data exploration, transformation, model prototyping, and analytical validation.
• Strong SQL skills for data investigation, profiling, and validation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, notebooks, and lakehouse concepts for analytical processing.
• Ability to design and validate data-driven models for anomaly detection, matching optimization, and scoring.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering teams.
