Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive big data initiatives and scalable data pipelines in a hybrid work setup in India. You will mentor a team of data engineers, ensure data quality and security, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

The role requires advanced data engineering expertise, cloud proficiency, and the ability to guide junior teammates while staying current with evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher degrees in analytics, CS, statistics, or data science.
• Multiple data engineering and cloud certifications listed above are highly desirable.
• Strong foundation in data governance and data quality practices.
• Experience with modern data stacks and big data technologies.
• Industry knowledge across banking, capital markets, or similar domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers in developing and implementing Big Data solutions.
• Design and build scalable and reliable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to Big Data and data engineering.
• Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, systems, and infrastructure.
