Job summary

Tezo in Hyderabad is seeking a Lead Data Engineer with 8–12 years of experience to own and shape data landscapes. The role is onsite in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, requiring deep expertise in data architecture and hands-on work with SQL, modeling, ETL/ELT, APIs and cloud platforms like Azure and Databricks.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to design current- and target-state architectures, ensuring data governance, quality and secure data flows.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Strong data consultant with experience in complex data landscapes and enterprise data environments.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, APIs, cloud data platforms, and modern data technologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing data systems, applications, data flows, workflows, integrations and reporting processes to identify gaps.
• Define current-state and target-state data architecture including data platforms, models, integrations, governance and security.

• Assess data quality, lineage, ownership, duplication and data lifecycle.
