Overview

We are looking for Sr GCP Leads for Bangalore & Gurgaon locations. These individuals should be able to drive and lead migration from On-Prem to GCP.

7-12 years of experience in the role of implementing high-end software products.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in the Big Data space (Hadoop stack including Spark, MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, HBase, etc.) and contribute to open source Big Data technologies.
• Lead and implement migrations from on-premises environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and implement an overall organizational data strategy aligned with business processes, including data model designs, database development standards, and the management of data warehouses and analytics systems.
• Operate with deep knowledge of GCP services and architectures to design and deliver solutions (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in at least 4-5 GCP services.
• Apply distributed computing concepts and experience with Linux environments, including command-line tools and scripting (Shell/Python) for automation.
• Stay informed about and contribute to cutting-edge open source technologies and software paradigms.
• Be familiar with columnar storage formats (e.g., Parquet, ORC) and related data engineering concepts.

• Experience with Linux, command-line tools, and scripting for automation (Shell/Python).
• Experience with data strategy, data models, data warehouses, and analytics systems.
• Industry-standard technical solutions using GCP (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
