Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for AWS, Azure, hybrid and multi-cloud transformations; define current-state, target-state and transition architectures and roadmaps.

• Design landing zones covering networking, IAM, security, governance, monitoring and DR.
• Architect large migrations; select rehost, replatform, refactor, retain, retire or repurchase strategies.
• Define migration waves, dependencies, cutover, rollback, validation and hypercare; integrate DevOps, IaC, Kubernetes and FinOps.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, statements of work and presentations; develop effort estimates and delivery plans.

Lead Consultant - AWS Job Principal Cloud Enterprise Architect AWS and Azure

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior, customer-facing architect to lead strategic cloud architecture, solutioning, migration and modernization for global enterprise customers. The role spans discovery and deal shaping through design, estimation, technical governance and delivery, combining deep technology expertise with business and consulting acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture for AWS, Azure, hybrid and multi-cloud transformations; define current-state, target-state and transition architectures and technology roadmaps.
• Conduct discovery, assessments and architecture workshops; engage CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and enterprise infrastructure and cloud leaders.
• Design landing zones covering networking, IAM, security, governance, compliance, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery and FinOps.
• Architect large-scale migrations across VMware, Windows, Linux, databases, storage, networking, middleware and enterprise applications; select rehost, replatform, refactor, retain, retire or repurchase strategies.
• Define migration waves, dependencies, cutover, rollback, validation and hypercare; integrate DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, automation, AIOps, observability and managed services.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, proposals, Statements of Work and presentations; develop effort estimates, resource models, delivery plans, risks, assumptions and commercial inputs.
• Govern architecture during delivery, mentor architects and engineers, and establish reusable reference architectures, standards and accelerators with hyperscaler and technology partners.

Required Experience and Skills

• 18+ years of overall IT experience, including 10+ years in architecture, cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization or enterprise technology programs.
• Deep architecture expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, with proven experience designing and governing large enterprise migration and modernization programs.
• Strong foundation in hybrid connectivity, networking, IAM and Zero Trust, cloud security, VMware, Windows/Linux, storage, backup, databases, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, FinOps and cloud operations; familiarity with AWS MGN, Azure Migrate, Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Proven pre-sales solutioning, estimation and proposal skills; ability to develop HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, migration strategies and solution blueprints.
• Strong executive communication, consulting and stakeholder management; translate business needs into secure, resilient, scalable and commercially viable solutions and guide global delivery teams.
