Job summary

ICON Strategic Solutions in India (Bangalore) is seeking a Senior Database Developer for the RAVE project, on-site. You will design and develop clinical data programming solutions, ensuring robust handling and reporting of complex trial data.

As a lead programmer, you will mentor junior staff, collaborate with biostatisticians and data managers to define data specifications, analysis plans, and ensure CDISC standards and regulatory compliance across studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in clinical data programming using SAS, R, or similar.
• Deep knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM/ADaM) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on data quality.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; capable of guiding cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel as required (10%).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of data science programming solutions for clinical trials.

What You Will Do

You will manage day-to-day clinical data science activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Leading the design, development, and validation of data science programming solutions for clinical trials.
• Collaborating with biostatisticians, data managers, and clinical teams to develop data specifications and analysis plans.
• Programming and validating datasets, tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) according to study requirements.
• Ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of clinical data through rigorous quality control and validation checks.
• Mentoring and guiding junior programmers and providing technical leadership within the data science programming team.

Your Profile

You will have solid clinical data science experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in clinical data programming, with proficiency in SAS, R, or other relevant programming languages.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical trial data structures, CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM), and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
