Job summary

Jobtailor in Mumbai seeks a seasoned business analyst to work across IT Operational Resilience deliveries, including controls, testing, metrics, and governance for IBS/CIFs in a complex enterprise. You will partner with IT application SMEs and business stakeholders to map data flows and ensure regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Seasoned business analyst with experience in Nomura domain.
• Familiarity with Nomura applications and processes.
• Experience delivering regulatory project requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fast learner and self-motivated.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of data models, databases, and data structures.
• Ability to represent the department in internal meetings.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; VBA/macros preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across IT Operational Resilience deliveries (controls, testing, metrics, governance and reporting).
• Engage with IT-BU focusing on IBS/CIFs (Important Business Services / Critical Imp Function).
• Document data flow across the organization for IBS/CIFs with SMEs.
• Support in implementing DORA-aligned policies and testing plans.
• Participate in governance of IBS/CIFs across applications and processes.
• Assist with data governance tasks such as data cataloguing, lineage, policy enforcement, and reporting.
• Develop, prepare, and manage materials and content for reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to optimization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Work across all pillars under IT Operational Resilience deliveries (Controls, Testing, Metrics, IBS/CIF governance and reporting)
• Work across IT-BU focusing on the IBS/CIFs (Important Business Services/Critical Imp Function)
• Work with IT application SMEs and business stakeholders to identify and document data flow across the organization for IBS/CIFs
• Support in implementing DORA uplifted policies and procedures in alignment with the strategy & execution of Digital Operational testing plan
• Participate in implementing governance on IBS/CIFs across applications/processes
• Work with stakeholders and assist with data governance tasks such as data cataloguing, data lineage, data policy enforcement, and data reporting
• Develop, prepare, and manage materials and content for reporting
• Perform quality assurance on established data quality controlsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts

Requirements

• Strong individual with seasoned experience in business analysis role in Nomura
• Sufficient knowledge and understanding about Nomura applications & processes
• Good hands on experience in understanding and delivering regulatory project requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A self motivator who is a fast learner
• Must have good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
• Understanding of data models, databases, and data structures
• Confidence to represent the department at any relevant internal meetings
• Strong skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred, particularly in Excel VBA/macros
