Job summary

TÜV SÜD Group in Nagpur is seeking a qualified professional with a Master’s in Veterinary Science and 5+ years in the meat/food sector for Production and Quality Control roles. The candidate should hold Lead Auditor certifications in FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, or ISO 9001 and possess strong QA/QC knowledge.

Responsibilities include QA/QC oversight, internal audits, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Veterinary Science with 5+ years in Food/Meat Industry (Production/Quality Control).
• Lead Auditor training in FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and/or ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of meat processing steps from live stock receipt to carcass processing and cold storage.
• Strong communication skills and thorough knowledge of QA/QC systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QA/QC processes align with FSSC 22000/ISO 22000 requirements.
• Oversee production/quality control activities in meat handling and processing.
• Lead internal audits and support certification efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with company ethics and diversity policies.

Your Tasks

• Candidate must hold a Master's degree in Veterinary Science with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Food / Meat Industry in Production / Quality Control.
• The candidate should have successfully completed Lead Auditor courses in FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and/or ISO 9001.
• The Candidate must have knowledge about meat processing i.e. receving control on live stocks, Ante - Mortem inspection, slaughtering, bleeding, skinning, evisceration, Post - Mortem Inspection, Carcass washing, chilling, deboning, cold storage etc.
• Good communication Skills
• The candidate must have thorough knowlede on Quality Assuarance and Quality control system.

Certification Requirement

• Lead Auditor training in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and BRC GS Food.
• 2 Days course in HACCP.
• Food defense and Food fraud training followed by exam.
• Relevant PRPs - ISO/TS 22002 series followed by exam.

• B.Tech Food Technology or any other food related degree
