Position: Senior Airport Planner
Responsibilities
Airport & Terminal Planning
- Support development of airport master plans, expansion studies, and feasibility assessments
- Prepare terminal planning concepts including passenger processing, space standards, and functional layouts
- Develop airside planning inputs including runway, taxiway, apron, and stand planning
- Support landside, curbside, and landside access planning as required
Capacity Analysis & Modelling
- Undertake airside and terminal capacity analysis in line with ICAO and IATA methodologies
- Prepare demand forecasts, peak hour assessments, and traffic scenarios
- Support passenger and baggage flow analysis using spreadsheets, simulation, or specialist planning tools
Standards & Compliance
- Apply ICAO, IATA ADRM, DGCA, ACI, and relevant international planning standards
- Support preparation of planning reports, compliance matrices, and technical documentation
- Coordinate authority and client comments during planning and approval stages
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate planning inputs with airside, terminal engineering, systems, sustainability, and operations teams
- Support design coordination workshops and planning reviews
- Interface with clients, airport operators, and other stakeholders under guidance of senior planners
Project & Business Support
- Support preparation of planning deliverables, drawings, presentations, and reports
- Contribute to bid and proposal submissions with planning narratives and technical inputs
- Support continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability‑led planning approaches
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Airport Planning, Aviation Management, or a related discipline
- 15+ years of experience in airport planning, airport design, aviation consultancy, or infrastructure planning projects
- Strong understanding of airport master planning principles, terminal planning processes, and airside/landside planning interfaces
- Experience in demand forecasting, capacity analysis, area planning, and development phasing for airport facilities
- Knowledge of international and regional planning standards, including ICAO, IATA, FAA, and local aviation regulations
- Ability to work on multiple projects, manage deadlines, and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in medium to large commercial airport design, preferably EPC projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and airport planning/drawing tools
- Familiarity with airport simulation and analytical tools such as AviPlan, CAST, ArcPORT, SIMMOD, or equivalent (desired)
- Strong capability in data analysis, report preparation, and visual presentation of planning outputs
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
