Job summary

Gumpro Drilling Fluids Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Chemist for quality control to calibrate lab instruments, analyze materials, and ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance. The role requires hands-on lab work and documentation across QC/QA activities.

The candidate will interact with Production, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch to maintain quality standards and support RD initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (B.Sc) is required.
• Master’s degree in Chemistry (MS/M.Sc.) is preferred.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ensure awareness and compliance with IMS / ISO 9001:2015 requirements and related documentation.
• Analyze raw materials, packing materials, in-process samples, and finished goods; prepare analytical reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch to ensure smooth QA/QC processes.
• Prepare solutions and perform standardization as per SOPs.
• Possess strong technical knowledge; troubleshooting skills will be an added advantage.
• Perform any other tasks related to QC, QA, and RD as assigned.

Job description

Role responsibilities

1. Perform calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments.
2. Ensure awareness and compliance with IMS / ISO 9001:2015 requirements and related documentation.
3. Handle laboratory instruments such as PH meter, moisture analyzer, Karl Fischer titrator, and potentiometer.
4. Conduct analysis of raw materials, packing materials, in-process samples, and finished goods; prepare and maintain analytical reports.
5. Prepare solutions and perform standardization as per SOPs.
6. Possess strong technical knowledge; troubleshooting skills will be an added advantage.
7. Perform any other tasks related to QC, QA, and RD as assigned.
8. Coordinate with various departments such as Production, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Good communication skills.
2. Willingness to undertake outdoor duties (vendor/supplier visits) as and when required
3. Well-versed in computer applications and documentation
