Job summary

Modern Ballistic is seeking a Network Security Engineer (L2) with hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise security infrastructure. The role focuses on Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls, IPS/IDS, DDoS protection, and Akamai solutions in 24x7 operations.

You will provide L2 support, monitor and resolve incidents, implement firewall rules, and ensure availability and compliance across enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, IPS, DDoS, and Akamai.
• Experience in 24x7 security operations environments.
• Strong TCP/IP, VPN, routing and switching knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and incident handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for Palo Alto and Juniper security infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve firewall, IPS, and DDoS incidents.
• Implement and manage firewall rules, policies, and security changes.
• Support Akamai security and DDoS protection solutions.
• Perform incident analysis, root cause identification, and escalations.
• Ensure security device availability, performance, and compliance.

• Experience in 24x7 operations/support environments.
