Job summary

Sutherland is seeking an L1 Production Support Engineer to handle Snowflake, Airflow, and Tableau-related production tasks. You will monitor pipelines, validate data, manage user access, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with L2 teams to ensure uptime. Strong SQL and Python basics are desirable.

The role emphasizes incident response, production monitoring, and automation to maintain high-availability data workflows. 3–5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production support.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 production support for Snowflake data platforms and data validation.
• Monitor Airflow DAGs, retrigger failed jobs, and escalate issues with analysis.
• Support Tableau Server/Desktop including license management and access control.
• Investigate production incidents and coordinate with L2 teams for resolution.
• Write efficient Snowflake/SQL queries and optimize performance.

Role Summary:

We are seeking an L1 Production Support Engineer with experience in Snowflake, Airflow, Tableau, and ETL monitoring to support data platform operations. The role involves incident management, production monitoring, user support, troubleshooting, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 production support for Snowflake, including user access, database support, Snowflake troubleshooting, stored procedures, views, and data validation.
• Monitor and investigate failures in Airflow; retrigger failed jobs and elevate issues with detailed analysis.
• Support Airflow DAG failures impacting Snowflake data pipelines.
• Provide Tableau support, including license management, user access, dashboard issues, extract scheduling, and Tableau Desktop assistance.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and ensure high availability of production workflows.
• Perform initial investigation of production incidents and coordinate with L2 teams for resolution.
• Write efficient Snowflake/SQL queries and optimize performance for data transformations.
