Job summary

Paytm Payments Services is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to manage strategic merchant relationships in India. You will drive activation, growth, and cross-sell across UPI, QR, Soundbox, and EDC while collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and optimize performance.

The role targets annual GMV growth, stronger merchant retention, and higher activation rates in a fast-paced payments ecosystem. A customer-focused mindset and strong Excel/CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, MBA advantageous.
• 1–4 years in KAM, B2B sales, FinTech, Payments, or related fields.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key merchant accounts and build long-term relationships.
• Drive merchant activation, engagement, and business growth.
• Increase GMV and payment volumes across Paytm offerings.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell Soundbox, EDC, merchant loans, Insurance, and other services.
• Conduct regular business reviews with merchants and recommend growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve merchant issues quickly.
• Monitor merchant performance and work to reduce churn.

Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Key Account Manager to manage andgrow relationships with key merchants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drivingmerchant engagement, increasing payment acceptance, growing GMV, and identifyingopportunities to cross-sell payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of key merchant accounts and build long-term relationships.
• Drive merchant activation, engagement, and business growth.
• Increase GMV and payment volumes across UPI, QR, Soundbox, and EDC.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products such as Soundbox, EDC, Merchant Loans,Insurance, and other value-added services.
• Conduct regular business reviews with merchants and recommend growth opportunities
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve merchant issues quickly.
• Monitor merchant performance and work to improve retention and reduce churn.
• Track competition and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Achieve monthly sales, revenue, and activation targets.

Eligibility

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA is an added advantage).
• 1–4 years of experience in Key Account Management, B2B Sales, FinTech, Banking,Payments, Telecom, or FMCG.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to analyze merchant performance and identify growth opportunities
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
• Proficient in MS Excel and CRM tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in merchant acquiring or digital payments.
• Understanding of UPI, QR, POS/EDC, and Soundbox solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Educational Qualification:
