Job summary

Karishma Marine Solutions seeks a Jr. Web Developer / UI Developer to build and refine user interfaces. You will implement HTML/CSS markup, work with jQuery/JavaScript and Ajax, and collaborate with the development team to deliver responsive, cross‑browser compatible web experiences.

The role requires a B.E./B.S. in a technical field and 2–4 years of web development experience, with hands-on Bootstrap knowledge and a solid understanding of web standards.

Position Title: Jr. Web Developer / UI Developer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery/Java script and Ajax.
• Deep expertise and hands on experience with Bootstrap framework.
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• Assisting the web development team with all aspects of website and application design.
• Assisting with the testing and maintenance of backend and front-end applications.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology and programming trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent demonstrable experience.
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a web developer; demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks with support.

Specific Knowledge/Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Solid understanding of web design and development principles.
• Good planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
