Job summary

PeopleStrong in Pune, Maharashtra, India, invites applications for a dialysis technician role. You will prepare machines, dialyzers, solutions and heparin, initiate and terminate dialysis, and maintain strict aseptic precautions.

You will document predialysis weight, dry weight, UF profile, heparin dose, blood pump speed, dialysate speed, and access condition in the dialysis proforma.

Qualifications

• Patient-oriented approach with ability to assess patients.
• Preparation of machine, dialyzer, and dialysis solutions.
• Strict aseptic precautions during dialysis procedures.
• Accurate documentation of dialysis parameters in proforma.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis machines and dialyzers for procedures.
• Initiate and terminate dialysis sessions as required.
• Maintain dialysis equipment and cleanliness; perform routine maintenance.
• Record predialysis weight, dry weight, ultrafiltration, heparin dose, and pump speeds.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies according to roster.
• Inventory updates and keeping unit records and logs.
• Ensure proper labeling and safe handling of consumables.

• Patient Oriented:
• Patient assessment.
• Preparation of machine/ Dialyzer for dialysis.
• Preparation of solution and Heparin for dialysis.
• Initiation of dialysis & termination.
• Washing dialyzers, tubing’s and keeping them safely after proper labeling.
• Follow strict aseptic precaution.
• Filling all dialysis related details in Dialysis proforma e.g. predialysis weight, dry weight, Ultra filtration profile, heparin dose, blood pump speed, dialysate speed, sodium profiling, duration of dialysis, access condition, complications during dialysis and number of reuse.
• Inventory Oriented:
• Informing the senior technicians on stock updates.
• Medication related: Not applicable
• Department related:
• Maintain all records & registers of unit.
• Maintain congenial atmosphere in the unit
• Attending emergency dialysis as per the roster prepared by the senior technicians.
• Cleaning, disinfection and Maintenance of dialysis machines.
• Cleanliness in the department.
