Job summary

Decisions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Product Engineering team and help build, enhance, and support our business automation platform using modern .NET technologies. You will work closely with product managers, designers, senior developers, and engineering stakeholders to solve technical problems and learn new technologies.

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team.

This role will help build, enhance, and support our business process automation platform using modern .NET technologies and will work closely with product managers, designers, senior developers, and engineering stakeholders . It's a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously learning new technologies while making an impact by helping organizations modernize legacy systems and accelerate digital transformation.

What You'll Own

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to develop and support software applications.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to software design using object-oriented programming principles.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance features within Decisions's business automation platform.
• Participate in debugging, performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to agile development processes and deliver high-quality code in a collaborative team environment.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Training or coursework in C#, React, or related technologies through academic programs, bootcamps, or online learning.
• Hands-on experience building software projects through coursework, personal projects, internships, or portfolio work.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software development fundamentals.

Bonus Points

• Experience working with Docker or containerized applications.
• Exposure to agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Experience contributing to team-based software projects or open-source initiatives.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a passion for learning new technologies.
