Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically capable Junior Site Engineer PEB to support the site execution team in the day-to-day construction and erection activities of PEB and structural steel projects.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating with erection teams and subcontractors, monitoring work progress, ensuring quality and safety requirements, maintaining site records, and reporting progress to the Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Execution
  • Supervise day-to-day PEB and structural steel erection activities at the project site.
  • Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and instructions from the senior project team.
  • Monitor erection of columns, rafters, secondary steel, bracing, purlins, girts, roofing, wall cladding, and accessories.
  • Ensure proper sequence of erection and coordination of site activities.
  • Assist in resolving day-to-day site execution issues.
• Manpower & Subcontractor Coordination
  • Monitor daily manpower deployment and work allocation.
  • Coordinate with erection teams and subcontractors to ensure planned work is completed.
  • Monitor productivity and report manpower or resource requirements.
  • Ensure workers follow approved work procedures and site instructions.
• Drawings & Technical Coordination
  • Study and understand approved GA, erection, fabrication, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure site execution is carried out as per the latest approved drawings.
  • Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report them to the senior engineer.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team for technical clarifications when required.
• Quality Control
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure proper installation of structural members and accessories.
  • Check alignment, levels, connections, bolting, sheeting, and other erection activities.
  • Identify quality issues and ensure timely rectification.
  • Assist in inspections and maintain required quality records.
• Safety
  • Ensure workers follow required PPE and site safety practices.
  • Monitor safe working practices, particularly during work at height, lifting, and erection activities.
  • Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately to the senior project team.
  • Ensure work areas are maintained safely and properly.
• Material & Site Coordination
  • Monitor receipt, handling, identification, and utilization of materials at site.
  • Check materials against dispatch documents wherever required.
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of structural materials and accessories.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting
  • Record daily site progress and manpower details.
  • Prepare daily site reports as instructed.
  • Monitor planned versus actual progress and highlight delays.
  • Maintain records of completed works, pending activities, and site issues.
  • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer.
• Measurement & Documentation
  • Assist in taking site measurements for completed works.
  • Maintain records required for subcontractor measurements and billing.
  • Maintain site registers, inspection records, material records, and other project documentation.
  • Support preparation of project-related reports and handover documentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

1-2 years of experience in construction/site execution.

PEB / Structural Steel Erection Experience Will Be Preferred.

Basic understanding of structural drawings and construction practices.

Ability to read and understand GA and erection drawings.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic site reporting.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Strong follow-up and problem-solving ability.

Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Ability to work under project deadlines and in a site environment.
