Job summary

Solenis GSS India Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to monitor security logs from diverse systems in a hybrid work setting and assist in incident response.

You will work with EDR, SIEM, and DLP tools, perform preliminary forensic analysis, identify false positives, and support vulnerability management and threat intelligence efforts.

Maintain security playbooks, document incident reports, and promote a security-first culture within the organization.

Qualifications

• Monitor and analyze security event logs from multiple systems.
• Respond to security incidents including data breaches and malware.
• Experience with L1 SOC operations and security tools such as EDR/SIEM/DLP.
• Identify false positives and escalate as needed.
• Stay updated on threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization.
• Maintain security documentation and incident playbooks.

Junior security Analyst

Location: Hyderabad India – Hybrid

Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Position

Job Description

• Monitor and analyze security event logs from various systems and applications.
• Experience in responding to security incidents and investigations, including data breaches, malware infections, and MITRE attacks.
• Expertise in L1 SOC operations on Security tools, eg: EDR, SIEM, Network logs, DLP, Vulnerability management and email security.
• Perform preliminary analysis and assist in forensic investigations as required.
• Experience in handling various operating systems.
• Identifies and resolves false positive findings in assessment results.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of Security incidents.
• Familiar with the IOC’s block/allow actions.
• Good experience in analyzing phishing emails and security threats.
• Familiar with email security policies and best practices to safeguard against threats such as phishing, malware, and data breaches.
• Escalates issues to other senior team members upon exhausting all technical options available to them.
• Perform/review regular vulnerability assessment reports to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
• Analyze external threat feeds and stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organization.
• Engage in research and development of security solutions, testing new tools and methods for potential implementation.
• Possess a foundational understanding of AI-driven SOC technologies and security automation capabilities.
• Maintain and update security documentation, incident reports, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Actively involve in security awareness initiatives and help promote a security-first culture within the organization.
