Job summary

Freudenberg Group seeks an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable ML models and APIs. You will collaborate with software and data teams to deploy multimodal AI systems using MLOps best practices, while optimizing performance and ensuring data governance and security.

Candidate should hold a CS/AI/ML degree with up to 2 years of experience, be proficient in Python, SQL, Git, and have familiarity with Azure Cloud or Microsoft Fabric. Docker and Kubernetes skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, ML or related field.
• ≤ 2 years of experience; business knowledge not required.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; Git for version control required.
• Solid understanding of AI use-case requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Cloud.
• Intermediate MLOps knowledge: Docker, Kubernetes, model versioning, monitoring.
• Nice to have Copilot Studio experience.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain ML models to work in a scalable ML infrastructure and integrate their capabilities into existing platforms and build APIs for seamless model consumption.

Collaborate with software- and data engineers and deploy multimodal AI systems using MLOps best practices.

Implement inference systems for internal process optimization across multiple verticals and contribute to production-ready multi-agent systems.

Optimizing model performance for cost efficiency while maintaining accuracy and speed requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.

Implement AI quality checks, validation processes, and error handling to maintain high quality standards.

Contribute to our Code of Ethics for AI and ensure data governance and security.

Stay updated with the latest ML tools and technologies and evaluate their suitability for the organization's needs.

Qualifications:

University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a strong foundation in AI principles and methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience

Advanced skills in Python, SQL, version control with git (must)

Advanced skills in understanding AI use case requirements
