Job summary

Genie Consultants is seeking an Auditor/Accounts Associate to assist in preparing and reviewing audit workpapers and financial statements. You will support compliance with IGAAP and US GAAP, perform GL reviews and variance analyses, and help with month-end and year-end closures.

The candidate should be adept at data organization, reconciling trial balances, and maintaining audit file quality. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Tally/SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks are plus points.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in commerce/finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA (Finance)/CA(Inter)/CMA(Inter)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience: 2 - 5 years
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Working knowledge of Excel; experience with tools like Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite, CaseWare (if applicable) is a plus
• Ability to analyze data, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate with remote teams
• Candidates with prior experience in audit firms, BPOs/KPOs, or outsourced accounting setups preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
