Job Description
BCom With Minimum 3 years experience in handling Bank transactions, Payments, Receipts, Visiting Bank, Bank Reconciliations / Passing Expense Entries, Debit Note, Credit Note, JV’s etc. Handling Petty Cash / Handling GST and TDS matters (Preparing Summary and filing Returns).
Helping in Preparing MIS / Other Accounts and Finance related work.
Junior accountant's job is to perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in an accounting firm or department.
- Record transactions: Post journal entries, record financial transactions, and update financial records.
- Manage accounts: Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, and confirm validity of debt.
- Prepare reports: Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Analyze data: Analyze financial data to help plan budgets and develop client forecasts.
- Review expenses: Review expenditures such as payroll and petty cash expenses.
- Assist with audits: Assist with asset audits and other accounting tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with others: Work with senior accountants, financial analysts, and auditors to maintain the organization's financial stability.
- Conduct internal audits: Ensure that the organization's financial procedures comply with accounting standards and regulations.
Junior accountants are supervised by senior accountants or accounting managers. Some qualifications for a junior accountant include:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Computer proficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other accounting software programs.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Confidentiality.
- Attention to detail.
