Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Junior QA Engineer – Digital to support the QA team in ensuring quality, reliability, and usability of digital web and mobile applications.

You will execute functional, regression, sanity, and mobile testing across multiple websites, countries, devices, and platforms. You will work with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA members to validate requirements, identify defects, and support successful product releases.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of STLC and defect lifecycle processes.
• Ability to design and execute well-structured test cases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with API testing concepts using Postman or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Junior QA Engineer – Digital supports the Quality Assurance team in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of digital web and mobile applications. The role involves executing functional, regression, sanity, and mobile testing activities across multiple websites, countries, devices, and platforms. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA team members to validate requirements, identify defects, and support successful product releases.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

• Design, review, and execute test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Validate key business workflows and user journeys across digital platforms.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Ensure test coverage aligns with user stories, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities when required.
• Log, track, prioritize, and retest defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Provide clear defect documentation with detailed reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve identified issues.
• Verify fixes and perform impact analysis during regression cycles.
• Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms.
• Execute device compatibility, usability, and performance validation for mobile applications.
• Verify mobile-specific functionalities such as navigation, permissions, notifications, and device interactions.

Integration Testing

• Support testing of integrations involving:
• Sitecore CMS
• Bhoomi API Layer
• Third-party APIs and digital services
• Conduct basic API validation and testing using Postman.

Daily Stand-ups

Quality Assurance Practices

• Follow established QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and traceability matrices.

• Basic understanding of API validation and API integrations.
• Experience with Low-Code/No-Code automation tools.
• Exposure to test automation concepts and frameworks.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification (preferred).

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance will also be considered.
