Job summary

Valeo India Private Limited inAhmedabad is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrotechnical, automated, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment including robots and manipulators. The role involves supporting 5S, QRQC, and continuous improvement within the maintenance workshop.

The position is full-time and permanent, offering exposure to a global tech company environment with opportunities for career growth and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive maintenance using SOPs.
• Ability to work with PLCs, robots, and manipulators.
• Analytical approach to failure causes and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance Level 1 per SOP and schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrotechnical, automated, mechanical, PLCs, robots, and manipulators.
• Study and perform preventive maintenance on all factory equipment including PLCs, robots, and manipulators.
• Intervene on machinery to resolve simple breakdowns under supervision; analyze causes and modify equipment.
• Resolve breakdowns autonomously; improve reliability and maintainability.
• Lead improvement projects, consult with subcontractors, and train on procedures.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance Level 1: Perform simple preventive maintenance operations according to standard operating procedures and schedules.
• Preventive Maintenance Level 2: Prepare and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (electrotechnical, automated, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.). Work on programmable logic controllers, robots, and manipulators.
• Preventive Maintenance Level 3: Study, prepare, and perform preventive maintenance on all factory equipment, including programmable logic controllers, robots, and manipulators.
• Corrective Maintenance Level 1: Intervene on machinery to resolve simple breakdowns under the supervision of a more qualified technician. Analyze failure causes and propose improvements. Perform necessary modifications on equipment.
• Corrective Maintenance Level 2: Resolve breakdowns autonomously. Analyze and implement modifications on equipment across all technical domains. Improve reliability, capacity, and maintainability.
• Corrective Maintenance Level 3: Propose and implement actions to improve reliability, capacity, and maintainability using new technologies.
• Other Activities Level 1: Actively participate in the maintenance workshop's 5S program. Participate in QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) within their domain. Update intervention tracking logs to ensure traceability.
• Other Activities Level 2: Participate in daily and monthly meetings as well as improvement workshops. Contribute to specifications during the receipt and commissioning of new resources.
• Other Activities Level 3: Lead improvement projects, consult with subcontractors, and guarantee follow-up and results. Draft and distribute assembly, disassembly, or adjustment procedures and provide training.
