Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a JAVA Technical Lead to drive backend services and architecture in a Java 11+ environment. You will design and implement RESTful microservices using Spring Boot, ensure code quality with unit tests, and manage deployments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Key requirements include 6–7+ years in Java, strong multithreading and SQL skills with PostgreSQL, and hands-on experience with JUnit5/Mockito.

JAVA Technical Lead

Job Description:

• Strong proficiency in Java (8+/11+), Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
• Minimum 6-7+ years required in java
• Strong hands-on with Collections, Streams, Multithreading, Concurrency
• Strong coding & problem-solving skills with clean code practices
• Experience with Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, transactions, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of Spring Security (OAuth2/JWT) and Spring Actuator (preferred)
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Concourse)
• Hands-on with JUnit5/Mockito, and understanding of code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube)
• Strong SQL and database experience with PostgreSQL and migrations using Liquibase
• Strong troubleshooting skills using Splunk and production support mindset
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and containerization using Docker

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 11+.

• Work with Azul JVM for optimized performance.
• Implement and manage Spring-based applications.
• Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit5, AssertJ, and Mockito.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and manage schema changes using Liquibase.
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Splunk.
• Ensure high performance and reliability of distributed systems.
• Utilize asynchronous communication techniques.
• Apply solid Unix/Linux knowledge in daily tasks.

Areas of responsibility

Gathering of requirements-Participate in gathering requirements for specific modules and ensure clear, structured documentation. Work across multiple business processes to capture linkages, dependencies, and required changes.

Solution Design-Facilitate creation of application solution designs for a specific module under the guidance of the Project Manager, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.

Coding and Configuration-Review the developed codes, resolve technical queries of the team for the assigned module and create consistent replication patterns, to ensure that the developed code aligns with the project standards.Collaborate with project managers through all phases of software development life cycle.

Perform root-cause analysis to identify and troubleshoot recurring technical issues. Modify software codes to resolve errors, adapt to new hardware and software, enhance performance, and upgrade interfaces.

Implementation-Collaborate with technical teams to validate configurations, facilitate integration of new applications, and address dependencies during deployment. Prepare user training documents and related frameworks to ensure smooth adoption new applications and minimize transition risks.

Mandatory Skills: JAX-RS - Java API- RESTful Web Services.Experience: 5-8 Years.
