Job Summary:
· Responsible to ensure solutions are identified and implemented for the functional requirements while also supporting the team members to fast track resolutions on technical issues.
· Responsible to ensure standard system environment set up, software development tools and application design are understood and adhered for the development activities
· Ensures improvements required for the design and development activities are highlighted and coordinates the support of the required experts to ensure procedures/tools are improved
· Responsible to coordinate with the Project Managers and Team members to align the design and development activities with plans and standard procedures established
Essential Functions of the Job:
· Reviews functional requirements and software implementation to ensure in-depth understanding of the detailed design, source code and identify the implementation changes
· Estimate the overall effort, schedule and size for the implementation
· Coordinate with Project Manager to set up adequate schedule and procedures for the software design and development
· Identify the preconditions and dependency for the design and development activities and coordinate with customers/experts to develop responses and resolutions to achieve desired project progress
· Review the technical standards, including design and coding standards, tools, or platforms implemented by the team members and ensure corrective actions are identified and shared across team
· Review the technical deliverables (design and coding), and identify automation scope to prevent issues/defects on the deliverables and ensuring high productivity
Qualification:
· Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a full software development life-cycle project
· Good knowledge of JAVA, SOAP, XML, WSDL, OOA and OOD Concepts
· Hand’s on experience of JAVA/J2EE/EJB,SQL coding, JUNIT
· Experience in integration technologies like web services, SOAP, RESTful, JSF
· Hand’s on experience of Eclipse IDE Source control tools like Maven is highly preferred
· Understanding of design patterns, design models and application frameworks
· Experience in Airline domain / Passenger Reservation Systems is an advantage
