Job summary

Cognyte in India is seeking a seasoned Java Team Leader to guide a cross-functional, high-performing development group. You will drive server-side and automation initiatives, oversee CI/CD, and collaborate with global teams to deliver secure software solutions.

You will recruit, mentor, and empower engineers, shaping a culture of excellence while ensuring delivery of complex systems on OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker-based deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science or Software Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years of R&D management or team leadership experience.
• Extensive server-side and high-performance systems experience.
• Experience with a global, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross-functional high performing agile automation full stack development team.
• Supervise all automation infrastructure development lifecycle including design, development, deployment and CI/CD processes.
• Build from scratch a large team of server-side, client-side and automation developers with full responsibility on the recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Mentor, empower and lead the way to a professional, collaborative and engaged unit.
• Collaborate closely with global development and QA teams, product owners, architects and system integration engineers to identify and solve challenging problems.

We are looking for an accomplished and passionate Java Team Leaderto join our cyber intelligence team in India. As a Cognyter you will:

• Manage a cross-functional high performing agile automation full stack development team
• Supervise all automation infrastructure development lifecycle including design, development, deployment and CI/CD processes

For that mission you will need:

• BScComputer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience as a R&D manager/TL
• Extensive background professional experience with server-side and technologies in high-performance complex systems
• Basic understanding of client-side development
• Experience in a global, adaptive and fast-responsive environment
• In-depth understanding of the entire software development life cycle process (design, development, deployment, CI/CD processes, automation, build and release flows)
• Experience with software deployment containers such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively

An advantage:

• Experience with Automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Gauge
