Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.

• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern infra tooling.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, messaging queues.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

TheApplication Development Tech Leadis a senior, hands-on technical leadership position responsible for architecting and building core platforms. As a hands-on technical leader for one or more Scrum teams, you will serve as a key voice in our architecture, driving innovation and ensuring our engineering practices meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role is ideal for a "player-coach" who thrives on influencing system design, mentoring engineers, and contributing directly to the codebase.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Personnel Management:Manage one or more Application Development teams to accomplish established goals, while handling core personnel duties.
• Technical Oversight:Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Application Development domains to provide technical oversight of systems and applications.
• Solution Architecture:Review and analyze proposed technical solutions across ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Strategic Contribution:Contribute to the formulation of technical and architectural strategies for Application Development and related functional areas.
• Cross-Functional Alignment:Develop a comprehensive understanding of how various business areas integrate to achieve organizational goals.
• Decision-Making:Provide evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual data in complex, ambiguous, or unique situations.
• Delivery & Work Allocation:Drive impact across Application Development by monitoring end-to-end delivery and managing day-to-day operations, including resource planning and work allocation within the team/project.
• Standards & Governance:Ensure essential procedures and governance policies are followed, contribute to defining engineering standards, and negotiate with external parties when necessary.
• Innovation & Tooling:Actively explore and integrate modern AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, advanced code analyzers) to accelerate delivery velocity, elevate code quality, and foster a culture of engineering innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience:12+ years of hands on experience in software design and development, with deep expertise in Java technologies. Proven track record in developing and optimizing multithreaded, high-throughput applications.
• Database Expertise:In-depth experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Frontend Knowledge:Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a significant plus.
• DevOps & CI/CD:Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern infrastructure tooling.
• Architecture & Integration:Strong knowledge of system integration principles and practical experience implementing modern integration patterns (e.g., RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging queues).
• Problem-Solving:Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Leadership & Mentorship:Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree/experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
