Job summary

Infosys Bengaluru seeks an experienced Java & Springboot Lead to drive design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications. You will guide a team, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, and implement solutions using Microservices, MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.

You will ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and debugging, while optimizing performance and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Java & Springboot Developer, with at least 3 years of team handling experience.
• Proficiency in Springboot framework, including Microservices, MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiar with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Relational databases experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java & Springboot Developers in design, development, and maintenance of applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements for Java & Springboot applications.
• Design, develop, and enhance software solutions using Java & Springboot (Microservices, MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Write efficient, well-structured code and perform unit testing and debugging.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications by troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
• Collaborate with DBAs and system admins to integrate applications with databases and other systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation (designs, coding standards, user manuals).
• Stay updated with latest Java technologies and best practices; propose improvements.
• Support system integration, data migration, and software deployment with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure coding standards.

• Extensive experience with Java development tools, such as Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA.
• Deep familiarity with relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Expert knowledge of Java performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
