Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced backend/frontend engineer to design scalable Java microservices and modern web interfaces. The role focuses on cloud-native deployments on AWS, API security with OAuth2, and robust CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate in an Agile environment, mentor teammates, and contribute to architecture decisions.

The position requires hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, working from Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and building Java microservices.
• Proficient in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud components.
• Strong frontend skills with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Hands-on in AWS cloud deployments and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of relational databases and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient Java microservices.
• Architect and develop modular frontends using Angular (v12+).
• Deploy cloud-native apps on AWS with EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda and S3.
• Develop and consume secure RESTful APIs with OAuth2/Cognito.
• Model schemas in PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle; enable Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes; mentor juniors.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient, and high-performance Java microservices utilizing Spring Boot and Spring Cloud components.
• Frontend Engineering: Architect and develop clean, modular, and responsive user interfaces using Angular (v12+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Cloud Deployment: Build, configure, and optimize cloud-native application deployments on AWS using EC2, ECS/EKS, AWS Lambda, S3, and CloudFront.
• API Development: Author and consume structured, secure RESTful APIs with clear gateway routing, version control, and authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth2, AWS Cognito).
• Database & Messaging: Manage and model schemas across relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle) and implement asynchronous communication via messaging tools like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• DevOps Excellence: Maintain source code management (GitHub) and enforce automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, collaborate with product stakeholders, perform peer code reviews, and mentor junior team members.
