Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is hiring for a Java developer/lead role focusing on core Java, system design, and microservices. You will build REST services with Spring Boot, ensure security, and work with data layers (JPA/JDBC). Leadership and hands-on coding are expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications include Java 8+, OOP, multithreading, and experience with CI/CD, Git, and messaging (Kafka/JMS). Exposure to cloud and AI integration is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong Java/System design fundamentals with hands-on coding.
• Proficient in Java 8+, REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid OOP concepts, exception handling and data structures.
• Experience with multi-threading, concurrency and error handling.
• Familiar with circuit breakers, microservice communication (Sync/Async).
• Spring Boot REST, security, DI, Spring Data and JPA/JDBC.
• Experience with Kafka/JMS, CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Must have led or been a developer lead on projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Java applications and microservices.
• Develop RESTful services with Spring Boot, integrate security and data layers.
• Collaborate on architecture, CI/CD pipelines and code reviews.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor a team when needed.

• Core Java /System design
• Java 8 +, REST API and Microservices development with hands-on coding experience
• Concept of OOPs, Exception handling
• Data structures implementation and optimization
• Multi-threading, concurrency, and error-handling
• Circuit breaker
• Machine coding
• Microservice communication (Sync & Async)/ architecture
• Spring Boot rest controller, security and exceptions, spring data

JPA & JBDC, transaction management, DI, auto configuration, Springboot starters, annotations, config

• Kafka/JMS, CI/CD, GIT
• Must have worked as Developer/Lead

Good-to-Have

• Databases-MySQL/Oracle. MongoDB etc.
• Unit Testing – JUnit
• Exposure to Linux/Unix dev environments
• Leadership skills to lead a technical team of 8+ members
• Experience with any AI integration (ex – Co-pilot/Claude)
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
