Job Summary Synechron is seeking a Java Gen AI professional with 5–7 years of professional Java development experience and strong expertise in Spring Boot, core Java, and QA automation. The role combines backend application development with automated quality assurance to deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable solutions. The position contributes to business objectives by developing robust backend services, improving test coverage, integrating quality practices into delivery pipelines, and supporting efficient software delivery through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Implement efficient data structures and algorithms using Java collections. Apply core Java concepts, including multithreading, exception handling, and design patterns, to create reliable and maintainable solutions. Collaborate with QA teams to design, implement, and execute automated test suites. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, RestAssured, Cypress, TestNG, and JUnit, as applicable. Automate testing for REST and GraphQL services. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality assurance. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback. Troubleshoot defects, investigate root causes, and resolve application and test automation issues. Optimize application and test automation performance. Ensure that code is testable, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with software development best practices. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions. Support consistent quality outcomes through appropriate test coverage, reliable automation, and timely defect resolution. Contribute to sustainable software delivery by reducing repetitive manual testing, improving automation efficiency, and designing maintainable services that use resources responsibly.
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java and Spring Boot backend services using collections, multithreading, exception handling, and design patterns. Collaborate with development, QA, and cross‑functional teams through planning, technical discussions, code reviews, defect reviews, and delivery meetings. Create, execute, maintain, and improve automated test suites for backend applications, REST services, and GraphQL services using the required automation tools. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot application and test failures, and make technical decisions within assigned responsibilities to support quality and delivery objectives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered. 5–7 years of professional experience in Java development, including strong experience with Spring Boot and core Java concepts. Relevant training in Java, Spring Boot, QA automation, API testing, CI/CD, and software engineering practices is preferred where applicable. Certifications in Java development, testing, Agile delivery, or related technical areas are preferred but are not specified as mandatory. Maintain continuous professional development by learning relevant Java, automation, testing, CI/CD, security, and backend engineering practices.
Apply structured problem‑solving and debugging skills to analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and cross‑functional teams to support shared delivery outcomes. Communicate clearly during technical discussions, code reviews, defect analysis, planning sessions, and project updates. Adapt to evolving requirements, technologies, testing needs, delivery priorities, and project conditions. Identify opportunities to improve application quality, automation coverage, framework reusability, performance, and delivery efficiency. Manage time, priorities, technical tasks, defects, and deliverables effectively within agreed project timelines.
