Capco is seeking an experienced Java Backend Lead to drive modernization and regional deployments for MDES in Pune. You will lead design and delivery of microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions using Java 11+/Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of backend development, strong leadership, and a track record delivering secure, scalable enterprise applications in hybrid environments. This role offers impactful projects with global clients.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java backend development.
• Advanced proficiency in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and application deployment on Kubernetes.
• Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and source control.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Understanding of security, performance, and production readiness.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and deployment of Java-based microservices.

Position: Java Backend Lead with Spring Batch

Location: Pune

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Technical Lead to lead application modernization, and regional deployment initiatives for Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES). The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes, along with proven experience in solution design, cloud-native application development, and production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and deployment of Java-based microservices applications.
• Define scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable microservices architecture aligned with enterprise engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership to backend developers and SDET engineers, ensuring engineering quality and delivery consistency.
• Design and review RESTful APIs, service integrations, asynchronous processing, and application configuration strategies.
• Drive region-specific application customizations and coordinate cross-team dependencies for regional deployments.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Kubernetes deployments, observability, and release management.
• Conduct code reviews, technical design reviews, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
• Ensure adherence to secure coding, automated testing, engineering standards, and production readiness requirements. Mandatory Technical Skills
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Java backend development.
• Advanced proficiency in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and application migration/deployment on Kubernetes.
• Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka or other messaging systems, and API security.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment concepts including Helm, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Services, Ingress, and scaling.
• Strong understanding of application monitoring, logging, performance tuning, and production incident management.
• Proven technical leadership, solution design, and stakeholder coordination skills. Preferred Skills
• Prior experience with Mastercard or its parent organization, where applicable.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing
