Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior Java/Spring Boot architect to design and deliver cloud-native microservices in Pune. You will lead architecture reviews, mentor developers, and own security, monitoring, and performance across distributed systems.

The role requires 8+ years in Java/Spring, 3+ years in lead/architect positions, experience with AWS services, Kafka, CI/CD, and data integration. Pune-based with hybrid/onsite expectations and strong collaborations with UI teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java/Spring Boot development experience
• Strong expertise in building microservices using REST APIs and OAuth2-based security
• Experience with AWS services (ECS Fargate, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS) and cloud-native patterns
• Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server) and data processing (ETL, Spring Batch)
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS/SNS) and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Frontend tech exposure (Angular/NodeJS/VueJS) and Power BI integration is a plus
• Mentor/lead architect with experience in HLD/LLD, architecture reviews and coding standards

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and mentor developers across Java/Spring Boot codebases
• Drive architecture decisions for large-scale microservice platforms in cloud envs
• Ensure security, monitoring, logging and regulatory compliance across services
• Collaborate with UI teams (Angular/NodeJS/VueJS) and data teams for integration
• Own CI/CD pipeline improvements and robust deployment practices
• Provide technical risk assessments and ensure high availability and disaster recovery

• Must have experience in Java 17+, OOP, design patterns, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Spring Security, JDBC/JPA/Hibernate, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Must have experience in AWS cloud services including ECS Fargate, S3, Step Functions, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda, multi-AZ, high availability, and disaster recovery patterns.
• Must have experience in PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server, schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, batch processing, ETL, file ingestion, validation pipelines, and Spring Batch.
• Must have experience in OAuth2, JWT, SSO, IAM, encryption, secrets management, audit trails, regulatory compliance, logging, monitoring, CloudWatch, and ELK.
• Must have experience in event-driven architecture using Kafka, SQS/SNS, messaging/streaming platforms, SFTP/FileX, APIs, S3 landing zones, workflow orchestration, and rules/decisioning services.
• React OR Angular OR NodeJS, Azure Kubernetes Services(AKS)
• Must have experience working with either of Java UI Tech Stack Angular/NodeJS/Vue JS
• Must have experience in Git/GitHub, branching strategy, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Agile/Scrum, estimation, dependency tracking, and technical risk mitigation.
• Must have 8+ years of Java/Spring Boot development experience with 3+ years in lead/architect role, including HLD/LLD, architecture reviews, coding standards, and mentoring developers.
• Angular 19 exposure for full-stack understanding.
• Power BI integration experience.
• Docker and container orchestration experience.
• Collections / delinquency domain expertise
